It appears that you’re trying to find out a little bit more about the website that you’re currently perusing. So here’s a little guide to how it all works.
Reviews appear on the front page of the site as they go up, and I try to get out a least one a day (except on weekends). If you missed something or just want to recheck a grade, just go to the Consumer Guide section of the site (there’s also a link at the top of the page) and look up the artist. They are listed by name.
Or, if you’re feeling lazy you can always use the search bar on the right hand side of the page.
How Do I Choose Records?
Well, that requires a few different answers.
I can’t review every album that exists for obvious reasons, and as such I have to a least a little bit selective about what I listen to. For new release music I simply do a quick Google search of everything that’s coming out in a given month and write down the ones that seem interesting to me. I then select one record to write a full review for each week (New Music Mondays) and give all of the others a quick listen for micro-reviews. There’s usually between fourteen and twenty new release albums in a month,
I also just jump on Bandcamp.com every now and then in order to find new and exciting music (rarely works). I try to listen to at least three underground artists every week.
For the rest of it I simply go through my rather extensive record collection, pick out whatever’s on top, dust it off, listen to it, and write up a review.
I hope that clears some stuff up.
At the top of the page there is a series of links which will help you find the exact album review you are looking for, or to find my writings on various topics. It’s all pretty self explanatory.
